Delhi Duty Free at IGI Airport launches Dewar’s Legacy Collection 1893

Delhi Duty Free (DDF) at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport launched Dewar’s Legacy Collection 1893, a limited edition of blended Scotch whisky.

DDF, in association with Bacardi Global Travel Retail, was the first duty-free in India to sell the limited-edition, priced at $3,888, to international travellers travelling from the Indian capital.

The Scotch whisky is presented in a crystal decanter jewelled with sapphires and hand-crafted silverware with a design influenced by a Scottish ceremonial dagger, while the decanter is housed in a burr walnut and gold metal box.

Gaurav Joshi, head, Travel Retail Business India and the South Asian Association Regional Cooperation (SAARC)-Bacardi Global Travel Retail Division, said, “The legacy collection whisky is a blend of more than 20 rare and long-aged whiskies, many of which were used by Dewar’s founder John Dewar in the earlier editions.”

He said, “This is the first launch of the three Dewar’s legacy collections, and only 50 pieces out of a thousand worldwide will be available.”

Joshi informed that the legacy collection would be available in Delhi till March next year, after which the collection may be launched in other places in the country.

Present on the occasion, Abhijit Das, head, marketing, DDF, said, “DDF is viewed as a premium retail destination for the brand-conscious audience, and always provides customers the exclusive products of leading brands from around the world.”
